Jesus breaks chains. If you want to be free and experience life on a higher level, feed on Him.

Jesus is the chain breaker He said, “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.” — John 6:57
As I lay on my bed last night, I thought on the many paths that I have traveled. The roughest of these paths was drug addiction. The twelve years that I spent as a slave to addiction was without a doubt, the worst years of my life. Although I was surrounded by people, I was alone and afraid. I was ashamed of doing something that I didn’t want to do. I knew I was trapped in an unending cycle, but I didn’t know what to do about it.
Then I started reading my Bible and things started to slowly change. I got hungry, but my hunger was not for drugs or food, but rather I became hungry for the word of God. The more I read my Bible, the more I wanted to read it. I began to see a different Jesus than the one that people told me about, and in my darkest hour Jesus came and visited me.
When you feed on Jesus, you will begin to live. Jesus is our living, risen Savior. Jesus lives because He has the life of our heavenly Father in Him. The power of God in Him, gives Him power to break your chains of addiction. But how do you feed on Jesus? The way to feed on Jesus is by reading and meditating on His word.
God is Our Loving Father
Jesus is the Word of God and He came to earth to reveal the Father to us. Jesus wants us to know that God desires to be more than just our “God,” He wants us to know Him as our Father. We get a glimpse of the Father’s love in the Parable of the Lost Son. Our Father desires to restore you to your rightful place in His heavenly Family, but you have to consent to be restored.
Jesus Breaks Chains
Jesus is the “Chain Breaker.” Whatever you are addicted to, if you feed on Jesus He will break the chains of addiction by giving you power — His power — to overcome your addiction. You see friend, you have no power against the powers of darkness, and anything that has you bound is of darkness. Without the power of God you are powerless over your addiction.
Satan knows that if he can keep you thinking logic, you will never see Jesus as the One who can break your chains of addition. You see, it’s logical to think that going to a treatment center will heal you, but in reality, it won’t. They can attempt to help you manage your addiction, but no one has the power to heal but God. So feed on Jesus and live the good life. Remember Jesus lives because He has the life of the Father in Him. That same power can reside in you if you feed on Jesus. Consent to have your chains broken by the chain breaker, and He will deliver you from you addiction.
