2C1 SmilesThe street drug, Smiles, is the latest designer drug. The new designer drug is a menace to school aged kids and it is on the rise all across America.

The effects of Smiles has been described as a combination of MDMA (Ecstasy) and LSD, only far more potent. Users of the drug have reported a sudden increase in energy and intense hallucinations. These visual and aural hallucinations can last anywhere from several hours to several days.

User Reactions

Smiles users say in the beginning, things start to look quite beautiful and then everything starts to look strange. One Smiles user said when he looked at his girlfriend’s face it was pitch black. Then the blackness started dripping out of her eye.

Synthetic drugs do not generally show up on drug tests. Smiles is untraceable in tests and that makes it more of a challenge for doctors to treat. Because Smiles is untraceable it is popular among high school and college kids.

When people use Smiles their muscles do not relax and they get rigid. Body temperature rises dramatically. If not treated real aggressively, most users will die.

The United States Drug Enforcement Agency (USDEA) has classified Siles as a Schedule 1 substance. Possession and distribution of the drug illegal. Anyone caught distributing the drug will face serious criminal charges. The DEA has launched a coordinated United States Law enforcement strike targeting smiles.

Smiles is made by using powders shipped from China. They are mixed with acetone and plant-based materials. Anyone can import the chemicals, mix them and produce the drug. Smiles comes in liquid, powder and pill form. It is extremely difficult to measure in powder form which is often snorted like cocaine. Overdose occurs whenever users snort too much of the drug.


Smiles produce feelings of euphoria, stimulation, and a sense of well-being. High doses of Smiles may also produce:

  • Increased heart rate
  • hypertension
  • blurred vision
  • clenched teeth
  • uncontrolled tremors
  • drooling
  • nausea
  • vomiting
  • impaired speech
  • seizures
  • paralysis
  • permanent brain damage
  • death

Side Effects

Unfortunately, there is no medical detoxification protocol for hallucinogens. Side effects of Smiles include:
